Obituary of Anne P. Kirk

Anne P. (Burns) Kirk, born December 6, 1937, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the Chelsea Senior Living in Warren, NJ. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY she resided in Summit, NJ from 1970-1981, before moving to Warren, NJ in 1981.

Anne received degrees in Chemistry and Education from St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of St. Mary's Stony Hill Church, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Anne was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling, entertaining, gardening and painting. She especially loved caring for her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

Anne was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert C. Kirk, Sr. in 2012. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law William Bell and sisters-in-law Maureen Bell and Corinne Burns

She is survived by her son Robert C. Kirk, Jr. and his wife Tracy; her daughter Patricia A. Carper and her husband Michael; grandchildren Jessica Anne Plimpton and her husband Robert, Brian Clark Kirk, Chelsea Elizabeth Carper and Stephanie Anne Carper; and her brother James P. Burns, Jr.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral gathering will be held on Friday morning, November 16, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church, Watchung, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung, NJ.
