Obituary of Pauline Mary Nigro
Pauline Mary Nigro, age 98, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at AristaCare at Norwood Terrace in Plainfield. Mrs. Nigro was a lifelong Plainfield resident.
Mrs. Nigro was a communicant of St. Bernard & St Stanislaus Church in Plainfield and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
She was a member of the Plainfield Seniors. Mrs. Nigro was a talented cook with her Sunday Dinners who loved Bingo and Atlantic City.
Mrs. Nigro is predeceased by her husband Angelo Nigro in 1985; her granddaughter Marie Fuentes and her siblings, Philomena Craffo, Jimmy Stripto, Charlie Stripto, Sophie Desiato, Mary Sylvestro and Carrie Donelan.
She is survived by her son Angelo Nigro and his wife Linda; a daughter Theresa Swank and her husband Robert; three grandchildren, Robyn Swank, Samantha Swank, and Tony Fuentes; three great-grandchildren, Michael Trinajstic-Swank, Justin Nowicki and Elijah Taylor-Swank.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A funeral service will begin on Friday at 9:00 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of the Resurrection at St. Bernard & St Stanislaus Church in Plainfield. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ.
