In 1989 Mary retired from Muhlenberg Hospital where she worked for nine years. Mary and Larry spent time during the winter months in Bonita Springs, Florida where they met many friends and kept in touch with them for years. Mary's greatest enjoyments in life came with spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved when her grandchildren came over to play with her and Larry, and was fortunate enough to have all six of them live less than ten minutes away. She bought snacks and always welcomed them to dinner with her famous chicken cutlets and meatballs. She always put others before herself. She found the beauty of everyone from within. Hobbies of Mary's included doing crossword puzzles, knitting, and crocheting, and playing cards. She had beautiful script handwriting, and was a fantastic speller and won spelling bees as a young girl. She looked forward to attending Senior Citizens of North Plainfield where she loved to play bingo, and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in North Plainfield, where she was a Rosarian for many years. She was married to her loving husband, Larry, for fifty-nine years.
