Obituary of Zachary D. Len

Zachary D. Len, age 24, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his home in Bridgewater. He was born in Plainfield and had lived in Bridgewater most of his life. Zachary was a graduate of Bridgewater Raritan High School Class of 2007. He attended Monmouth University and Brookdale Culinary College. He was a past member of the Bridgewater United Methodist Church Youth Group. Zachary began working at the checkout at Wegman's at age 16 and worked his way up to Chef in the prepared food section. He was a huge NY Rangers fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was an avid ice hockey player and played travel ice hockey from 1995 to 2004. He also played for Bridgewater High School and Monmouth University. He currently played for a men's league team, The Vudoo. Zachary is survived by his mother, Deborah (Demcsik) Len; his father, Gary Len and his wife, Nell Jackson; his sister, Katie Len; his maternal grandfather, Daniel Demcsik; his paternal grandmother, Olga Len; his Aunts and Uncles, Diane and Lanny Spotts and Robert and Jennifer Len. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Bridgewater United Methodist Church. Cremation is private. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.
