Obituary of Adele McCarthy Rubey
Adele McCarthy Rubey, age 66, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at her home in Warren, NJ. Born and raised in Troy, NY, she has resided in Warren for 44 years.
Adele was a homemaker who loved caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her gift of laughter, her loyalty to family and friends and her generous spirit.
In her spare time she enjoyed swimming at The Connection in Summit, traveling with her sister, and attending many activities for her grandchildren.
Survived by her loving husband of 44 years Blaine Rubey; her daughter Jennifer Coslet and husband J.J.; son David Rubey; grandchildren James, Grace, Adele and Thomas Coslet; her sister Wynn McCarthy, her Aunt Adele Barrett, and many friends she loved dearly.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral gathering will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, BeboutAve., Stirling, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling.
Memorial donations may be made to the Glycogen Storage Disease Program Fund at the University of Connecticut, Children’s Hospital.
