Obituary of Marion Yannell Caporaso

Marion Yannell Caporaso, 94, of Watchung N.J. passed away December 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Daughter of Peter and Anna Maria Yannell, she was born and lived in Summit N.J. before retiring to Watchung where she resided for the past 38 years. She was happily married for 45 years to her late husband Vincent P. Caporaso. Marion is survived by her loving children Barbara Boyle of North Plainfield, Vincent of North Plainfield, Michael and Karen of Tucson, AZ, Virginia of Bedminster, and son-in-law Kevin Fogarty of Watchung. She was also survived by her nine cherished grandchildren: Joshua, Taryn, Lisa, Dana, Steven, Jess, Eric, Elizabeth, and Adam – as well as four great-grandchildren Sofia, Greyson, Jack, and Madison.

Marion was employed by Bell System & Bell Labs and later became co/owner of the family business - Caporaso Greenhouses and Florist in Summit.

Marion was a beloved member of St. Mary’s Stony Hill church in Watchung, where she also served as a Eucharistic minister and taught religious education classes. Marion was an enthusiastic member of the Watchung Seniors, a volunteer at Overlook Hospital and a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary.
Through all of the contributions she made and as the caring matriarch of her family, Marion will be remembered most fondly for her warmth, humor, and unconditional love.

Memorial Mass Service will be held Saturday December 29, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Mary’s of Stony Hill in Watchung. Interment will be private.
