Obituary of William T. Hoopmann

William T. Hoopmann, age 86, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born and raised in Jersey City and resided in Warren. Mr. Hoopmann served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was Vice President for Thomson McKinnon Securities, Inc. in New York. Mr. Hoopmann was a Communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. He loved his German Shepherd, Alex and communing with nature. He was an avid follower of the NY Stock Exchange. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Barbara Paladino Hoopmann; his son, William T. Hoopmann, Jr. and his wife, Viky; his daughters, Mary Lou Morrissette and Krista Montalvo and her husband, Edgar and his grandson, Bryce Morrissette. Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 3rd at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel. Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-4 pm.
