Obituary of Anthony L. Mita
Anthony “Tony” L. Mita, age 65, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Newark, he resided in Livingston for many years before moving to Martinsville 32 years ago.
Tony was employed by Beneficial Insurance Companies in Morristown/Peapack as a programmer. For the past 14 years he worked as a consultant with Luxoft USA Inc. as a Project Manager for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation in East Hanover.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Martinsville. Anthony enjoyed music, all sports and was a talented artist. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, who he loved very much.
Survived by his loving wife Cindy DeMatteo Mita; children Jacqueline Picard and her husband Urban, II; Margot Dolbier and her husband James and Kyle Mita and his significant other Logan Swain; grandchildren Tripp, Nathan, Oliver, Colette and one on the way; siblings Marianne Stout, Rocco and Wendy Mita, Michael Mita and David Mita.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at Wilson Memorial Church, Watchung. Cremation is private. Donations may be made to woundedwarriorproject.org.
