Obituary of Anthony J Devino

Anthony “Tony” Devino, passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2019 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.  Born and raised in Newark NJ, Tony has resided in Warren since 1990. 

Tony has worked in the family business his entire life as truck dealer at Devino Trucks and Parts in Newark NJ. He was mentored by his grandfather, Rex, at the age of ten who started the business in the early 1950s. Tony was dedicated to the family business and loved working alongside his father, sisters, brother and nephew. He also enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City, boating and going out to dinner. Most of all, Tony valued spending time with his family. 

He is predeceased by his sister Gloria and his mother Judith(nee Lada) Devino.

Surviving are his father, Babe Devino, siblings Michael Devino and his wife Maria and his sister Lisa and her husband Joseph Ciuba, his nephew Michael, his nieces Gianna, Gabby, Alyssa, Ashley and Julia,and his great-nieces, Tatianna and Vanessa. He is also survived by many loving extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069. A mass of resurrection will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren followed by the entombment in Union.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 7 Ridgedale Ave. Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927 or to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in memory of Tony Devino.
