Please accept my personal condolences for the loss of your father, father-in-law and Opa.
The news of his passing was received with great sadness by all who knew him.
I personally have great memories of him. Since I am a contributing writer for the German-language newspaper "Amerika Woche", as well as of the former "Freie Zeitung", I had plenty of opportunities to write about him.
He was very cooperative and never forgot, to give me "a story".
His willingness to support the German community is greatly appreciated by all. Many times, I called on him for advise.
I even received assistance from your mother, Inge. Since she came from Kirchheimbolanden, and I came from Kaiserslautern, we also connected very well.
Please include me in a memorial service for him, as I would be able to say a final "Auf Wiedersehen", or "Tschues".
