Joan was truly one-of-a-kind. Her friendship was personal, unconditional, wise, supportive, loving, honest. I am bereft that those long, intimate conversations cannot be continued. Joan, I love you, and I miss you dearly. Keep shining your warmth and wisdom on us, as we straggle and struggle through life on this earth. May I see you in ha olam habah.
