Obituary of Jack L. Ganz
Jack L. Ganz Jr., age 81, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at his home in Watchung, NJ.
Jack was born in Newark, NJ, to parents Jack Sr. and Helen. From the age of 3 to 20, Jack Jr. lived in Scotch Plains before marrying his first wife, Joyce, and moving to Linden, NJ. They then lived in Roselle, and then finally settled on Watchung, NJ. Jack worked as a self-employed salesperson at Jax Auto Parts in Westfield, NJ for 40 years. Jack was also a member of the National Guard.
Jack had a passion for travel, and together with Joyce had managed to visit 6 of the 7 continents.
Jack is Pre-deceased by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Ganz. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Ganz, two sons, Mark Ganz and Pete Ganz, two Brothers, Robert Ganz and David Ganz, his Sister, Patricia Torkildsen, and two granddaughters, Carly Ganz and Lexi Ganz. Jack is also survived by a step-daughter Victoria and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cloverleaf Memorial Park.
