Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Olesen

Elizabeth "Jane" Olesen, age 88 died February 17, 2014 after a short illness. Jane grew up in Millburn, resided in Whippany and Convent Station before moving to Warren in 1982. Jane had a wonderful zest for life. She was a devoted wife and mother of five who always saw the good in people. Her love for travel, lead her to owning a travel agency in Berkeley Heights. Active in her community, Jane was a Communicant of Our Lady of the Mount, member of the Warren Seniors Club, Library Book Club and Senior Yoga. Jane is predeceased by her husband, Niels F. Olesen; her sons, Kevin and Michael Olesen. Survivng are her son, Shawn and wife, Leslie; her daughters, Sheila and husband, Steven Glass and Kathleen Olesen. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills followed by interment at Holy Rood RC Cemetery in Morristown. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.
