Obituary of Gertrud Tepperberg
Gertrud Tepperberg, age 88, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Klagenfurt, Austria, Gertrud survived the holocaust through the kinder transport to Sweden. She married in Israel and immigrated to New Jersey in 1957 and has resided in Warren for the past seven years.
Trude enjoyed going to flea markets and estate sales, knitting, music, and being with her family,
Predeceased by her husband Max in 1990. Survived by her children Yael Cohn and her husband Martin, Eli Tepperberg and his spouse Fran Trees, and Susan Shamai and her husband Ariel; 4 grandchildren, Rachel Cohn, Jessica Cohn, Jeremy Shamai and Jordan Shamai, and one great-grandchild, Talia Adams.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, September 20, 2019, at 1 PM at Temple Sholom Cemetery (118-120 Chimney Rock Road, Bridgewater Township, Somerset County, NJ 08807)
Calling hours in Trude’s home on Friday from 3 -7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 6 pm.
