Obituary of Henry R. Drews
Henry R. Drews, age 81, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at JFK Hospice in Edison. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he had resided in Washington Heights, NY before moving to Plainfield 48 years ago.
Henry served in the Army during peacetime. He worked in the banking field throughout his professional career. He ended his professional career as a Vice President for Continental Stock & Transfer Company of NYC.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed.
Predeceased by his wife Barbara Drews in 2019 and his bother Gus Drews.
Survived by his children Gregory Drews and his wife Elizabeth of Warren, NJ, Douglas Drews and his wife Lisa of Bear, DE and David Drews and his wife Jennifer of East Windsor, NJ; 12 grandchildren; and his brother Richard Drews and his wife Florence of Stony Point, NY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by entombment at Clover Leaf Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ
