Obituary of Kari Lynn Roth

Kari Lynn (Ugarte) Roth, age 51, passed away in her home in Warren, NJ, on Monday, November 11, 2019. She was surrounded by her family.

Born in Plainfield, NJ, to Daniel and Patricia Ugarte on November 29, Kari graduated from Edison High School. She was a NJ Territory Manager for Reynolds America for over 30 years.

Kari married James Roth on April 23, 1993, and over the next 26 years, built a life together. They moved to Warren, NJ in 1999, where they raised their two sons, Christopher and Matthew.

Kari was a dedicated and proud mother to her two sons and enjoyed watching them play baseball and football. They were her pride and joy. She was a warm, fun-loving person whose smile lit up any room. She loved to sing and dance, especially to Bruno Mars and her father’s band, The Cameos. In the summers, she looked forward to going down to the Jersey shore and spending time in Lavallette. Kari loved the closeness of her family and friends, and her dogs Kobe and Dezi were always at her side.

Kari was predeceased by her treasured grandmother, Frances Hess. She is survived by her husband James, sons Christopher and Matthew, parents Daniel and Patricia (Hess) Ugarte of South Plainfield, and brothers Todd Ugarte and his wife Debbie of Brick, NJ, and Ron Ugarte of Warmister, PA, aunt Gail Travis of Warren, NJ, uncle Bob Hess and his wife Roberta of Richboro, PA, father-in-law Gregory Roth and his wife Virginia of Iselin; sister-in-law Pattie Clark and her husband Jimmy of Toms River; brother -in-law Matthew Roth and his wife Stacy of Asbury; as well as nieces and nephews Lauren, Jessica, Nicholas, Alyssa, Ashley and Michael Ugarte, Brittany, Ryan and Sean Clark, Carly and Madelenine Roth and cousins Courtney and Ryan Hess. 

Please join us for visiting hours to celebrate her life on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Interment is private.
