Obituary of Richard Green

Richard Green passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ. Richard was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a master’s degree in metallurgical engineering. Richard proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War as an engineer having helped design airfields at Beale Air Force base in California. He worked for Dow Chemical Co., Airco Welding Products, and HB Gases. His hobbies included playing bridge, golfing, and woodworking. Richard enjoyed taking his family on camping trips for vacation. He was an ardent Badger fan and a Green Bay Packer Backer. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, his children, Cindy (Bobby) Reali, Bradley (Heidi) Green, Gregory (Andrea) Green, Katherine (Kevin) Flagg-Barrett, and Marcy Meinz (Joseph Hartley), and 13 grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Our Lady of the Mount, 167 Mt Bethel Rd, Warren NJ, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge.
