Obituary of Shirley Epstein

Shirley Epstein (née Kaufman) 96, of Hallandale Beach Florida died on January 16 at home surrounded by her daughters and many friends. Shirley was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Warren Township, NJ. She married Stanley and they raised their family in Plainfield and Watchung before retiring to Florida. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Until recently, she maintained regular workouts with her personal trainer. She was featured as their oldest client at her local training center. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Stanley of fifty six years.her son Kenneth, her sister Flora Schlanger and her parents Max and Hannah Kaufman. She is survived by her brother Sheldon and daughter Deborah, both of Hallandale Beach, her daughter Donna LaJeunesse and her husband Leonard of Bridgewater, her loving grandchildren Michael and Danielle, and her favorite four legged friend “Diesel”. Graveside services will be held at Beth Israel Memorial park of Woodbridge at 1:00 on Monday, January 20,2020. Shiva will be observed at her daughter Donna’s residence in Bridgewater.
