Obituary of Vita Dentico

Vita (Paradiso) Dentico, age 82, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, peacefully at her home. Born in Gioia del Colle, Italy, she resided in Newark and Clark before moving to Warren fifteen years ago. Prior to retiring Vita and her late husband owned Colonia Custom Tailoring for over ten years. She was a former member of St. John's Church in Linden and Sacred Heart Church in Vailsburg. Vita enjoyed shopping and was a friend to all. Her biggest joy was spending time with her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Sergio Dentico in 1987 and her son Nicholas Dentico in 1992. Surviving are her daughters Dina Marchese and her husband John of Long Branch and Rita Gaglioti and her husband Gary of Green Brook; her cherished grandchildren Nicolette and Gary Jr. Gaglioti and Tina Romano and her husband Timothy. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Lucas and Gavin. A funeral services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel in Warren. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery, Union. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
