Obituary of Otilia Hernandez
Otilia Hernandez, 70, of Bound Brook passed away Wednesday March 25, 2020 at RWJ Somerset Medical Center after a brief illness. Otilia was born June 26, 1949 in Bogota, Colombia, the daughter of Luis and Maria Diaz. In 1968, she married Miguel A. Hernandez and shortly thereafter moved to the United States and settled in the North Plainfield area to raise their family. She was a long time communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish in North Plainfield. Otilia will always be remembered for her love of family, especially her big family dinners with her famous lasagna and spoiling her grandchildren.
Otilia was predeceased by her parents and infant son Miguel A. Hernandez, Jr. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Miguel, daughter Erika of Glen Head, NY, son Hansylin and his wife Megan and their children Sean, Catherine and Lauren of South Brunswick. As well as sisters Stella Cano, Gloria Diaz, Nieves Betancourt and brother in law Gonzalo, brother Laslado Diaz and sister in law Alicia and many nieces and nephews.
