Chod I am sorry for your loss. Joshua was my dear friend and I will miss our pizza nights. We would binge watch lumberjack contests and animal adventures that Joshua would record for us to watch together. Joshua has a huge heart and could always make me laugh and cheer up my day. We texted and spoke often. I miss my friend and wish I could have done more at the end. My heart is broken. Sincerely, Maisa Alderman

Chod, I am sorry for you loss. Joshua and I went to Central school and WHRHS together. After our 40th reunion I got to know him better as part of the email group. We exchanged emails, text messages and phone calls. I'm in the medical profession so a lot of our chats revoved around his health challenges. He would even make suggestions that might aid my patients by sharing his experiences. Joshua also yelled at me if he did not think I was taking care of myself the way he felt I should. I will remember him for his big smile, great sense of humor, kind heart, care for others and his love of God. He could make me laugh! We ended most chats with laughter. He holds a special place in my heart. On our last chat he spoke of you. May loving memories help you and your family through this difficult time.

I knew Joshua from 7th - 12 grade, and came back into close contact with him 10 years ago. As part of a lively group of 23 high school alums who've emailed each other regularly during these past 10 years, Joshua brought joy, hope, kindness, laughter and wisdom to our group.
Joshua's great love and admiration for his brother, Chod, his spiritual connection with the the Catholic Church, his loyalty to his friends, his admiration for people in the medical profession, his loving compassion for birds and animals, his great personal courage and strength of spirit were all well known to those privileged enough to be in his circle.
May his family take comfort from the many lives Joshua positively influenced.

June, You write with a very insightful pen! You capture his essence. It was heartwarming for me the way your group was able to reconnect with Joshua and welcomed him into the fold. The ability to integrate past and present was very important to Joshua as he charted his path, and your group supported him in this. He was a kind man and an excellent brother. Best, Chod

Joshua's love of aging abandoned great danes was heart warming. Remember our trip to Tennessee to pick up Charlie. One of his rescues was awaiting our return from NJ. I had a Prius. Well, Charlie JUST fit in the back of seat. It was a terrific trip from Tennessee to Florida. I hadn't been close to Joshua for many years. I will always remember our brief visits throughout these past 10 yrs. Love, Patti

Patti, Joshua valued his relationship with you greatly, and knew he could count on you - that you were a phone call away. It gave him great peace of mind. You and he were cousins before I was born and shared some memories that I don't have! I well remember your road trip with him and the effort you put into helping him get Charlie. Thank you for posting this particular photo - it is truly reflective of his intrinsic loving nature. Un abrazo, Chod

A few years ago, my husband and I picked up Joshua and my friend Denise and took them to Daytona Raceway. Joshua had such a great time. Now both of these friends of mine are gone. Both this month. Joshua, the one-third of the three Musketeers, you will be missed. Our last call is etched in my memories now forever. You hurt no more. My Prayers for your family! I will miss you. Until we meet again, my friend.

Marjorie, Thank you for mentioning Daytona Raceway. I should have included Joshua's love of NASCAR in the obituary. He particularly enjoyed the day of the season when he could go in a get photographed with the race car. As he became less mobile, it was something he reluctantly stopped doing. He was a good Musketeer! Best, Chod

Dear Chod,
Joshua was a loving kind soulmate. We knew each other since middle school. He was funny, loving and kind. Although we had lived 30 minutes from one another and didnt see each other but once a year we spoke on the phone and we were on a class mate email thread that includes 23 others from WHRHS. Joshua is now pain free and at peace with God. My condolences to you and your family. KAL (Kathryn A. Hayes Lopez - Bunnell, FL

My dear sweet NH,
How I miss you each day. Life will never be the same with you being gone. I already miss our talks, our texts and the funny things you would send to me. Who am I going to talk to on Thursdays when I leave the adoption room?? My heart is torn apart in so many pieces. I am so glad that we talked that day. I showed you the medal, you cried, you texted me back then you were gone. Did you wait for that medal from Padre Pio? I love you my sweet Joshua, your silliness, your OCD all of you. Rest well in the arms of the Lord, you are safe, healthy and no longer in pain.
Your forever loving NW..
Dear Chod,
I am so truly sorry for your loss. My words can not take the place of a brother, all I can do is tell you that you had a wonderful brother that touched so many hearts with love and kindness. The world was a better place with his light shining. I wish you peace of heart, body and soul knowing that Joshua was so very much loved. My deepest sympathies to you. If there is anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask.
Regards,
Suzanne
