Obituary of Veronica Kissell

Veronica Theresa Herrighty Kissell, age 90, passed away on Sunday April 12, 2020 at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Irvington, Veronica had resided in South Plainfield before moving to Martinsville to be with her daughter Nancy in 1994. Prior to her retirement Veronica worked for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in South Plainfield, NJ. Veronica enjoyed dedicating her time to helping people in need. She was a member of the Rosary Society and a volunteer CCD teacher at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. She loved the beach, splashing in the water, cuddling with her companion dog Coco and cherished her time spent with family. She always wore a bright Irish smile and loved to giggle. Predeceased by her son Thomas Kissell on April 19, 1999 and her siblings Irene Lataweic, Mary Rose Rodgers and John Herrighty. She is survived by her loving daughter Nancy Tamburri and her husband Gary. She is also survived by her granddaughter Brielle and grandson Kyle who she lived with. Her sons John Kissell Jr. and his wife Nancy from Hillsborough and Robert Kissell and his wife Linda and grandsons Mark and Chris Malecki of South Plainfield. Granddaughter Heather Lynn Kissell Zupsic and her husband Chris, great-granddaughter Brynli and great-grandson Christopher of Mullica Hill, NJ. Her sister Sarah Seliga from Wild Wood Crest and brother Michael Herrighty of Toms River. A funeral service will be on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 10 am for immediate family. A private interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge, NJ.
