It's heart wrenching to see a loving, caring, happy soul like Grandpa leave us, but as we all know, he's in better place with god looking down at us. I wish I spent more time with you to get to know you a little better than I do now, but I'll see you again one day in heaven and we'll catch up. We love you Grandpa, may you rest!

Grandpa,
I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to visit you just a few months ago. I have great memories of that day, and of all the days as children that we visited you and Grandma in Jersey City. Thank you for the laughs and important lessons. You will be missed!

Dad, I value the gifts that you bestowed upon me at a young age, especially the gift of God’s existence, and the Holy Bible. You had a kind inner spirit, and a great sense of humor. Your presence in this world, Father, will be sorely missed. I know that your soul is with the Lord God. May you Rest In Everlasting Peace. Family, please stay close during this sorrowful time. Love to all.

To the family and friends of Sam & Fran Thomas,
We sense a loss, a void, a feeling of deep-seated emptiness in our lives, an emptiness once filled by the life experiences we enjoyed with Sam and Fran Thomas. They were our surrogate Mom and Dad. This news of the death of first her and now him leaves our hearts heavy, our eyes tearful, and our strength reduced. We know all you no doubt feel similar aches and pains upon hearing this unwanted news of the loss of someone we loved.
He was like a father to me too. No, he was my father--too. In fact, he served as the best man at my wedding in the year nineteen hundred and eighty-two. I served alongside him as a congregation elder, and was trained by him for more than 15 years in the congregation of God, he was my senior elder, an experienced teacher, and a loving and very dear friend to both me and my wife.
Together, we vacationed in the Poconos, together we worked in the ministry, together we served the Christian congregation as elders. We loved getting away together for three or four days even for a week or two in the mountains. We often enjoyed the Poconos, because we would say. "We get there fast... then we take it slow. We enjoyed our Absolute Vodka during vacation.
After long service days working in the ministry, we always enjoyed getting off to go have coffee and a croissant at McDonald's or maybe head over to Dunkin Donuts to rest up a bit and enjoy some talking over the top of a steaming hot cup of coffee.
My wife and I look forward to greeting him again very soon in the new world. Until such time we will remember the joys, the laughs, the dinners, and the fine association we enjoyed in the company of Sam and Fran Thomas over the past 35 years.
We can hardly wait to see the two of them again! For now, though, we'll let them both rest. Because all the good work they've done, over the many years they've lived, and lives they touched, and the people they help will go right with them to serve as a witness of the work they did while here on earth that it was good work, that helped shape, mold, and direct in a good way, the lives of so many people with whom they came in contact with during the days of their lives.
We will see them again real soon!!

Dear Pop,
I will always remember our special times together, Wildwood at the Beach, Pennsylvania in Amish Country, the countless picnics and crabbing outings and of course my favorite, Bowling! Although we were mostly apart, I was always your little girl and will continue to be.
Rest well pop, job well done. Kiss mom for me.

I will Miss my Dad who introduced me to My God Jehovah and set a fine example in worshiping him. He took me as a little boy to all of his Bible studies with his students. He taught me how to be a hard worker and support my family. I will miss his humor, his laugh, and the time us boys beat him in gin rummy and he had to wash the dishes! Dad rest in peace and listen for Jesus to call you from your sleep. We hope to be there in Paradise with you and Mom.
