Obituary of Aurora Kelly

Born in Kuressare on Saaremaa Island, Estonia, Aurora trained as a teacher in Estonia and spoke four languages fluently. She came to America in 1947 and became a naturalized citizen in 1950. Aurora, nicknamed Tina, was a homemaker and spent 57 years living in Huntington, NY and resided in Warren, NJ during the last three years. She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Zeller (Ted) and Deirdre Shea (Dick). She is also survived by four grandchildren, Scrip Gonzalez (Peter), Owen Shea, Kate Simon (Matt) and Peter Shea, and by two great-grandchildren, Teddy and Brooke Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alfons Salm, her sister, Irene Meyer and her former husband Thomas K. Kelly. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at The Chelsea at Warren for the excellent and compassionate care she received during her last years.
