Obituary of Frank P. Valenziano

Frank P. Valenziano died very peacefully at his home in Warren, New Jersey on April 1, 2014, surrounded by his wife, Mae, and his five children. Frank was 89 and was born in Staten Island, New York, the son of Angelina and Domenic Valenziano. Frank received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was a World War II Navy veteran on the USS Midway as an Airborne Electronics Specialist. Starting as a young engineer, he rose to manage Intellectual Properties and retired after 34 years as Manager of Patents and Licensing for Interpace Corporation. To his credit, he has multiple patents to his name. Following his retirement, he was a partner in a successful manufacturing business until his full retirement in 2005. Frank was an extraordinary man who guided his family to push harder, do better, and to ultimately give back to others. Education and integrity were the core of his being which he stressed and impressed upon his kids, in-laws, and grandchildren. He was married to the partner of his life for 64 years, Mae, and they were quite a team. He is survived by Mae, his older sister, Sarah Boyko, his five children, Carl (Kate), Philip (Maureen), Frank J. (Stephanie), Angela Ross (Scott), and Mark (Lori). He has 14 outstanding grandchildren who cherish him as a grandfather and mentor, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ 07069. Internment will be after the mass at Silver Mount Cemetery, 918 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10301. Frank's wish is a cause very close to his heart.
