Obituary of Ah Chaw Law

Ah Chaw Law, age 97, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020, at his home in Plainfield. Born and raised in Foo Chow, China, he immigrated to the United States in 1940, settling in New York, before moving to Plainfield in 1968. Ah worked as a Tool and Die Machinist in NY for 28 years. He then went on to become a Chef working at various restaurants in NJ for 21 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and was a talented handyman able to fix everything. Predeceased by his 1st wife Catalina Law in 1989. Survived by his wife Bi Qui; children Arthur Law and his wife Julie, Mignalia Ortiz Rosario and his wife Joann Gill, Sweeney Martin, stepdaughters Xiao Ping Wei and her husband Hoi Fai Tse and Xiao Qi Wei and her husband Dons Wen; grandchildren Alton, Zachary, Trevor, Ashlynn and step-grandchildren Bill and Luke and great-grandchild Cailyn. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at All Faith’s Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
