Obituary of Walter Chazin
Walter Chazin, 87, of Scotch Plains entered into eternal rest on July 17, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Walter served in the United States Army from 1951-1954 in Germany.
Walter worked as a printer for many years. He was a member of Typographical Union Number Six; part of the Communications Workers of America.
He had a zest for life and enjoyed many hobbies. He had a love of opera music. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and loved to play poker with his friends. Additionally, he loved to read books by his favorite author W.E.B. Griffin.
Walter was quite witty and always made those around him laugh with his jokes. He loved his family dearly and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Walter was the son of the late Nathan and Frieda Chazin. He was predeceased by three of his four sisters. He is loved and survived by his loving wife, Gloria, of 63 years, two children, Mindy Koprowski (David) of Scotch Plains and Howard Chazin (Jacqueline) of Upper Mt Bethel, PA, and two grandchildren, Paul and Emily Koprowski.
Graveside services will be private for the family. A celebration of Walter’s life will be held at a future date.
