Obituary of Gector Martinez

Gector Tomas Martinez, age 29, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at home in Plainfield, NJ. Gector was born in New York City to Hector and Fatima Martinez. He was raised in Plainfield, NJ and graduated from Plainfield High School. Gector enjoyed riding bikes, working out, and spending time with his family, who he loved deeply. He is survived by his parents, Hector and Fatima, and his siblings, Gladys Martinez, Albert Gonzalez, Jenson Diaz, and Geovanny Castillo. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 12:00 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield, NJ. In order to keep compliance with COVID regulations, there will be a limit placed on how many people can be in the building at one time.
