I'd like to send very belated condolences to Mike's family from an old friend from his Georgetown days. We met early during our freshman year because his dorm room was just down the hall from mine (1st picture). One summer he invited several of us to visit him at home (2nd picture). He made sure we had a great time, of course, and I've always remembered how impressive he and his band were. I'm sorry our paths diverged after college, but I'm pleased to read that Mike never lost his sense of fun and humor nor his easy connection with other people and his strong concern for their welfare -- qualities that were very evident to his many friends at Georgetown.

Michael was a true ambassador of the Pharma industry having worked in 5 continents and touching hearts of people across the world.
He was a true friend of India and was planning a trip to Agra with us which never fructified.

As is customary, in times such as this, we struggle with the urge to ask God “Why?” Why take such a fine individual, who had not completed all the outstanding efforts, here on earth, to help spread love and care to his family, friends & loved ones? The timing doesn’t make sense to those of us fortunate to have been touched by Michael’s kind spirit. We selfishly grieve for not having just a little more time with him. However, we realize that his impact on our lives will be felt forever and he’ll always be ‘here’! I was introduced to Michael and his lovely wife, Kathy, through the dear friendship he shared with my brother, Roscoe. Knowing my brother and how he values friendships and family ties, I knew, from the several mentions of this man, that he was someone quite remarkable! As it turns out, like always, I was right!!! We can only avowal to live our lives by Michael’s example and show love to all those who we come in contact with!

Michael & I go back to grade school & were friends all through high school. I was a ‘Salt & Pepper’ groupie back in those days & actually dated Frank Cappelli in 8th grade. The girls all loved Mike’s smile, personality, & dimples. No wonder he was elected Senior Class President. When the guys, (Mike, Frank, & John-david Franklin) were under contract with Marriott Hotels in Philadelphia & playing nightly in their lounges, I went out to Philly to see them perform. This was somewhere around 1974. I saw Mike again when ‘Salt & Pepper’ got back together for a one night jam at our 20th high school reunion.
I am so glad that he & his wife came to our 45th reunion 5 years ago. I was able to have a very nice conversation with him & get caught up. This year is our 50th anniversary of graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School. I will always remember Michael in my heart. He & Frank are looking down upon us & jamming Beatle tunes forever. Until we meet again, my friend. Eternal hugs.....

I've known Michael for over thirty years and I have the pleasure of working with him for several of those years. I can unequivocally say that he is one of the best friends I've ever had in my entire life. We've cried and laughed about our families, he truly loved being a father and husband. I remember when I and my family were invited for dinner at Michaels's home early on in our careers. If you truly know Michael, you will relate to this story. We walk into Michels abode, Michael is leaning against the fireplace mantel, the theme song to Miami Vice was blaring. Michael had on shades and a Miami Vice print shirt. Now, you know how conservative Michael is so this was a big deal, I was even impressed. So, from that day forward, we called ourselves, Crockett and Tubbs but not in public. Too soon my friend, but considering the predicament this world is in, I would venture to say you are in a better place. Love you and your family endlessly!

I will always remember the first time I met Michael, he was always so engaging with people, remembered everybody's name and had that warm friendly smile. We had some good times together working on the ECE at Allergan and looking back on those times makes me smile remembering him. He was a great guy and I'll miss connecting with him.

I had the pleasure of working with Michael from 2009 to 2016 at Watson. He was a true gentleman, mentor, and friend. No matter how busy Michael was, he always made the time to offer support and guidance on all matters whether it was professional or personal. He had a great spirit and always knew how to make you laugh.I already found myself going back and reading your emails and though, he cared so much for all of us. Rest well Michael. You will forever be near and dear to my heart. I will think of you every time I hear a Beatles song....and of course see a sweater vest :).
Kathy and family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Much love to you all.

I know from personal experience that this was a person whose mission was to help others. Just weeks ago when I was at a crossroads in my life, Michael -- at a critical juncture of his own and his family's -- took the time to give me advice in making a life-altering decision. God bless Michael, my dear friend Kathy (from our years at Pan Am and Delta), and their sons Alex and Ryan.

I worked with Michael at 2 companies, and as everyone I know can attest to, it was an absolute gift to work with him. Michael was a true leader, a trusted advisor and mentor, filled with compassion, deep insight and humor. And most of all, Micheal was a kind and caring friend. He always spoke so lovingly about his children and wife, Kathy. After Michael retired, we had many deep conversations on life, love and his beloved, Jesus. I will cherish the memories of those conversations. I will cherish the running jokes we shared and I will always remember his smile, his laugh and how me made me feel.
Sending much love to Kathy and the entire family. Thank you for sharing Michael with us.
God Bless you, Michael.

My sincere condolences to wife Kathy Mother Maureen and extended family I was so sad to hear of Michaels's passing. I can still remember my first meeting with Michael he came to visit Ireland 1976 with your Mother Maureen and most of your family. Michael, you were so easy going taking a seat on the floor in my moms' good room we called it the sitting room which no one went into only guests, there was such a big family of us, I think you were in shock as my family of 9 came in one by one I hold so many memories of you in my heart and was delighted to have known you over the years meeting every now and then when you would be in Ireland on business trips. I will never forget you and our friendship over the years R.I.P Michael

I was so very sorry to hear this news. Michael was such a true gentleman, an excellent professional and a personal friend. We worked together for a number of years at Schering-Plough and traveled the world together solving HR issues in many countries. He was always smiling, always willing to listen and always willing to help. We had seen each other a number of times after our retirements, I only wish it had been more.
My sincere condolences on your loss. If there is anything I can assist with, please feel free to reach out to me.
