Obituary of Rosa Corredor

Rosa Julia Corredor, age 83, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Rosa was born in Boyaca, Colombia and moved to New Jersey 32 years ago. Rosa was a faithful member of Restoration in Christ Church in Elizabeth, NJ. Rosa enjoyed reading the bible, going to church, shopping, and taking care of her family. She is survived by her children; Luis A. Sanchez, Alba R. Duarte and her husband Fabio, and Larry D. Sanchez; four grandchildren, Johnny Sanchez, Diane Nieves, Willy Sanchez, and Kevin Sanchez; four great-grandchildren, Gianna M. Sanchez, Giovannie Sanchez, Alanna Nieves, and Angelia Nieves; and one great-great grandchild, Maddox Vasquez. She was a firm believer in God and would always say to us in the midst of despair “Don’t worry, pray to God” and “have faith in God”. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Funeral Home, followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery.
