Sharick Angus

Obituary of Sharick A. Angus

Sharick Arthur Angus, age 35, passed away on Sunday, August 9th 2020 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was born on December 27th, and resided in Warren, NJ for most of his life. Sharick attended and graduated from Watchung Hill’s High School, before attending the New York Military Academy and then Long Island University. He was employed as an Inside Sales Agent with Solar Freedom, a company located in Amelia, Ohio. He attended Baptist church services and loved sports. Sharick’s father, Gary, has written this touching tribute to his son: My son loved, loved, LOVED sports. Sharick was the New York Giants’ greatest fan. He watched every game with unwavering loyalty good or bad, but winning and his delicious Sunday dinners kept a smile on his face all week. A true “BIG BLUE” love that filled the house with joy and excitement every gameday. Sharick’s spirit is everlasting and so is his bond with the New York Giants. However, it didn’t matter if it was NFL, NBA, or NHL, he loved it all. Interestingly enough, scientists have found that being a sports fan can be good for your emotional, psychological and social health; fans who identify with a local team have a higher self-esteem. We were blown away with how involved he actually was with music. He just completed a new album, “Universal War,” and was about to go on a promotional tour with one of his closest friends and musical partners, Mike Brown. His cousin Christopher Palmer was also inspirational to his musical journey. Music was a part of his magical energy, the ability to bring people together, always with his positive attitude and good vibes. During holidays and special occasions, he was always the go-to. He always had the inside information, on what special gift would make us smile, only by paying attention to us, we didn’t even have to say a word. This was another example of his magical energy, that always brought us together to a happy place. Sharick’s boss reached out to tell us that he was a true light to the team. A person that always made everyone smile, with his politeness, positivity and work ethic. Sharick always made his clients and team feel “good.” In closing, our hearts are broken, we are finding it hard to understand the sudden death of our beloved son. Paul said, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Lord wipe away every tear, comfort our hearts and relieve us from this stress. May your grace and mercy give us peace and love, as we celebrate Sharick’s beautiful life for 35 years. As we remember the good times we have shared with our son please give us the strength not to lean on our own understanding but on yours, oh mighty God please continue this journey of healing with faith and not by sight, in Jesus name we believe and pray. Amen. Sharick is pre-deceased by his grandmother, Carmelata Angus (1991), grandfather Arthur James Angus (2018) and, uncle Peter James Angus (2019). He is survived by his parents, Gary Andre Angus and Winsome Judith Angus, and his sister Nicole Andrea Angus. He is also survived by his aunts Marie March, Marjorie Morgan, Pamela A. Palmer, Joy Bell-Smith, his uncles Mario Angus, Pedro Angus, and many cousins, friends, and extended family. A visitation will be held Friday, August 21st, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ.
