Obituary of Charles Leonard Cooper

Charles “Leonard” Cooper, 59, formerly of Plainfield, NJ, gained his angel wings on Monday, August 17, 2020. He was born on April 14, 1961 in the Bronx, NY, moved to Staten Island, NY and continued to live a great life in Plainfield, NJ. He enjoyed listening to music played from his large radio, and favored melted ice cream cake to enjoy as a milkshake. He had unique ways of showing how much he loved each family member. He made sure his family knew when he walked into a room, as he made sure his presence was not ignored. The sight of his large slippers, radio, sound of his voice, and presence will be missed. Leonard was predeceased by his mother, Mary Tindal; brother, Joseph Cooper, and sister, Annette Cooper. Leonard is survived by his sister and caretaker, Tonya Cooper; sister, Minderee Cooper; brother, Mannie Cooper and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and pets. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Higgins Home For Funerals at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Mount Holiness Memorial Park.
