My father worked for "Red" at Plainfield Country Club. I did also when I was very young. Red treated my father (a hardworking Italian immigrant) with the courtesy and respect that was not often afforded to new immigrants at that time. My father considered Red as much a friend as a boss. When my father died Red made it a point to look in on our family periodically and make sure we were OK. I will never forget Red for both the start in the working word that he gave to me personally and the friendship he and my father shared. My sincerest condolences to Skip and the rest of the Wender family.
