Obituary of Marie A. Kalman

Marie A. Kalman, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at her summer home in Lavallette, NJ. Born in Plainfield, she had lived most of her life in Piscataway. Marie attended Drake's Secretarial School in New Brunswick. She and her late husband started the accounting firm Kalman Associates in 1956. The business continues to this day with her son George. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, bus trips, latch hook rugs and her summer home in Lavallette. She was the heart and soul of her family and will be missed by all. Predeceased by her husband George Kalman in 2004 and her grandson John De Rosa in 2016. Survived by her daughter Patricia Kalman and her companion Roy Kahn and her son George Kalman and his wife Karen; 5 grandchildren Stephen De Rosa and his wife Shubh, Lindsay Kohlepp and her husband Scott, Laurel Kalman and her fiancé Brian Flad, Leigha Kalman and Greg Kalman; great-grandchildren Ryan Kohlepp, Grayson Kohlepp and Lukas De Rosa. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 10:00-12:30 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
