Obituary of Nora Lee Seay

Nora Lee Seay was born on March 24, 1953, in Plainfield, N.J., the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Seay Sr. She passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020, peacefully at her home at the age of 67.
Nora attended Rutgers University and graduated from Cittone Institute. She was employed as a Manager at Rutgers University Office of Information Technology in Newark, NJ for 20 years.
A gracious, generous spirit, Nora gave love to and was loved by everyone in her circle, especially her family. She cherished her close relationship to her godchildren, Dr. Maelondy Haleema Holman, Nora Lizzette Seay, Calvin Ponce Gary-Seay, Arius Terrell Seay, and Llamar Hughes.
Nora was a beloved member of her community and was known as the ''Neighborhood Mom" who always welcomed friends and neighbors into her home. She loved entertaining and planning special events and family gatherings to bring together the people she loved. Nora's favorite time of the year was Christmas and everyone in her circle was invited to her home to enjoy each other. It was her joy to watch her nieces and nephews open their presents.
Nora was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Areatha E. Seay. She leaves to cherish her memory five godchildren, five grandchildren, CJ (Calvin Jr.), Rashawn, Chance Ja'Mauri, A.J. (Arius Jr.), and Arion Tayshon; three brothers, John Walton Seay Jr. of Franklin Township; Bernard Webb Seay of Pennsylvania; and Jason Lamar Seay of South Plainfield; two sisters, Paulette Marie Williams of South Carolina, and Johnetta Vesta Hughes (Ray) of Georgia, a sister-in-love, Ella Franklin, of Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Services will be held at Higgins at 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ.
Please be advised that the funeral services are private and all guests attending the funeral services are required to wear a mask.
The funeral will be live streamed from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020.
