Obituary of Evelyn G Kiley

Evelyn G Kiley (Holdorf) “Evie” was born on January 11, 1943 in Newark, NJ. She grew up in Newark and later moved to Cranford, NJ where she graduated High School in 1961. She married Harold F Kiley in 1966 and moved to Elizabeth, NJ. Evelyn is the beloved mother of Kurt H Kiley, Scott J Kiley, and Laurie Torchia, grandmother of Laurie E Kiley, Kiley R Torchia, Cali M Torchia and Logan H Kiley, Mother-in-law of Michael Torchia and Carol J Stefan. Evelyn retired from the Elizabeth Board of Education as the head secretary for the Nicholas Murray Butler, School #23 in 2008 after 25 years of service. After her retirement, she moved to Basking Ridge, NJ, then ultimately moved to Brightview Senior Living in Warren, NJ. There she met her bosom buddy, soul mate, partner in crime, Gloria Lerch. They spent all their days together laughing and joking with the loving and devoted staff at Brightview. Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and making all kinds of crafts. Evelyn especially loved her iPad and being a member of the “Senior Surfers.” Evelyn’s family would like to thank all the staff at Brightview for loving Evie every day.
