Obituary of Shirley Bussel

Shirley Bussel, age 91, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. Shirley was born in Staten Island, raised in Plainfield, had lived in Westfield and has resided in Edison for the past 31 years. Shirley loved spending time with family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Norman B. Bussel in 1993. Surviving are her daughters; Ruth Bussel and Bette Bussel and her partner Jean Haakana, her grandson, Heath and his wife, Tina, and her great-grandson, Heath Nelson, Jr. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield followed by the interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Center for Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Road Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
