F. Robert Bodor
1942 to 2020
F. Robert (Bob) Bodor, age 78, passed away on Saturday October 24, 2020 at his home in Warren. Born in Frenchtown, NJ Bob had grown up in Holland Township. As a three sport athlete Bob was inducted into the Delaware Valley Regional Athletic Hall of Fame. For the last 22 years he has resided in Warren.
Bob received his bachelor’s degree in history from Upsala College in East Orange NJ. After graduating he began working at the Orange Middle School as a teacher of history. His career continued in the insurance industry as a Consultant for Employee Benefits and Pensions for various companies throughout New Jersey and New York until his retirement.
Retiring at 68 to enjoy his love of golf – a true passion, Bob traveled all over the country playing at various courses with the highlight of a trip to Scotland playing at St. Andrews. He was a founding member of the Stanton Ridge Golf Club in Whitehouse NJ and was on the board for some years. As a proud member of the Turtles at Stanton Ridge he would look forward their annual competition.
Embrace Kids Foundation in New Brunswick was for many years his devoted charity.
Bob is survived by his life partner Janet Wechsler; his two children Daryl Bodor and his wife Alison and grandchildren Wynn and Bryce of Boulder Colorado and his daughter Tiffany Bodor of Wilmington, Delaware. Bobs siblings, sister JoAnn and husband William McCrea of Lambertville and sister Andrea and her husband Tom DiGiovanna of Hanover, Massachusetts; and Janet’s children Justin and Amanda and Amanda’s children Lauren and Leah along with many nieces and nephews.
