Josephine E. Giordano, 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2020. A Hoboken native, Josephine resided in Leonia and Harrington Park before moving to Warren approximately 10 years ago.
Josephine was a former parishioner of St. John’s Church in Leonia. She was an artist who dabbled in oil painting, water color and pencil sketches. Solving cryptograms and crossword puzzles were favorite pastimes. Ballroom dancing brought many active and happy hours to her life. Josephine’s Atlantic City excursions could be often described as “winning” or “breaking even”. As a generous and loving homemaker, Jo prepared a multitude of extraordinary and comforting meals in her lifetime.
She is survived by daughter, Geraldine Wagner-Hill (husband Brian) and son, Peter John Giordano, Jr. (wife Barbara Ann); granddaughter, Elizabeth Di Prospero (husband Nicholas) grandson, Paul Giordano (wife Lauren); great-grandchildren, Peter, Andrew, John, Brielle and Sophie. Josephine is also survived by her older sister, Agnes Terminiello age 102.
Josephine is predeceased by her devoted husband, The Honorable Peter John Giordano, Sr., and her two sisters, Jean Ghiberti and Marian Palmiotto.
