Obituary of Carole Ann Lamiera

Carole Ann Lamiera, age 77, passed away at her residence in Warren on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Born and raised in Newark, Carole was also a resident of Union, where she raised her family, and for the last 15 years, a resident of Warren. Carole married her high school sweetheart, John Lamiera, and they were married for 50 years. Her single greatest joy in life was being a mother and raising her three children. She felt even more blessed with the addition of her four beloved grandchildren. Carole was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, where she prayed for everyone that she knew. She treasured going to Mass every Saturday evening with her late husband, John, and afterwards sharing a night out together. She cherished summer vacations in Wildwood, going to Atlantic City to play the slots, and shopping. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Raffaella Melchiorre, her husband, John Lamiera, who passed away in 2019, and her sister, Angela Pecoraro, who passed away in 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Raffaella (Amedeo) Bove, and her sons, John (Giovanna) Lamiera, and Michael Lamiera. She is also survived by her four beloved grandchildren, Deo, Gianna, Gia, and Jude. There will be a visitation on Sunday, December 6, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1890 Washington Valley Road, in Martinsville, NJ, and entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (StJude.Org).
