I met Virginia 17 years ago. She worked as a Pre-School Assistant in the am and as an After School Teacher in the pm. She was very organized and always had a plan for After School. She had a Special Gift for Childcare. Virginia loved laughter. She was very supportive wherever she worked. She always went above the requirement. Each year all teachers attended a Teachers conference. The conference was held in various states. Virginia kept us laughing the entire trip. Our lives changed suddenly. She moved to a different job and I moved to North Carolina, but our Friendship continued. Four years ago Virginia came to N.C. to visit. She talked about moving back. I knew she would never leave Lorenzo but it was a good thought. When she began to experience health issues, she called and told me. We talked and prayed. We prayed together very often. Virginia knew about Salvation. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior years ago. Our hearts are saddened today because we will miss her, but please know she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She left to so many memories to help us get through those difficult times. Rest Virginia, we will see you again.

Miss Virginia was my sons (Grayson) daycare teacher, but she was much more than that to us! She was his angel!!!! She loved him with all her heart and took care of him like he was her own son. Even though it was only a year that my son and her were together at daycare, they had a bond that you couldn’t break! She was his protector...his rock...his safe person and I’m forever grateful that my family had the chance to know her!
Her laugh and smile lit up the room and you felt an instant ray of sunshine when you were with her, even if it was a rainy day. I’ll never forget the warmth and love I felt when being around her. I would pick my son up from daycare and there she would be, holding him and singing to him...and the joy that was on both of their faces, was and still is priceless.
To her family,
Our deepest condolences to all of you. May the power of prayer and time heal your sorrows.
She was a beautiful soul and the world is a better place because of her. We love you Miss Virginia and will never forget you...you are and will always be our angel!
Love,
Rich, Page, Grayson and Brooks Romano

Virginia was my roommate at the nursing/rehab center. We only knew each other for around 2 wks, but it seemed like we were best friends for years. We automatically clicked with having similar personalities & constantly made one another laugh a lot. We were both very sad when Virginia was leaving to go home before me. To keep in touch, we had exchanged phone numbers. In the back of my mind, was for me to get better & when nicer weather came, to invite Virginia, Lorenzo & his girlfriend, Carolyn & Ashley over to our house for dinner. Unfortunately, that day will never come. When Lorenzo told me that his Mom had passed away, I felt like a dagger was put through my heart. I had a terrible rest of the day & have been so sad since. I still can’t believe it!
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy & heartfelt thoughts to Lorenzo & Family! I will always have a special place in my heart for Virginia. I’m very thankful for her friendship & will always remember her.
Virginia, Rest In Peace
With Love, Hope Bednarz
