Wow, I just found out about Tom’s passing. I always liked Tom and his out look on the world. First meet him when him and his brother installed my folks pool in Watching back in 1978. Then became my accountant- he started calling me his oldest client as I was with him since the early 80’s. God’s speed Tom.

Tom was such a kind soul, my family will miss and remember him always. We were neighbors and friends and I really admired who he was. It was so comforting to walk out to my driveway at night and hear him playing his music or to stand near his wife’s crab apple tree and hear the story of how she would make it into jelly. I also remember Tom telling me she was the love of his life . Imagine someone referring to you as that, powerful and beautiful. We have loved that tree for many years and will do our best to take care of it for you now Tom.

Uncle Tom, I love you so much -- which I could never tell you in person, because you never seemed to be the mushiest sort of guy -- and I will miss you so much. I loved having you for an uncle, and I loved you for being you, who you were, at all times. Your sudden passing leaves a hole I didn't expect to have. You were a vital part of this family, and we are all less without you. I hope you can rest in peace knowing you raised a beautiful daughter, as beautiful inside as out, who loves you very much, and is a wonderful legacy for you in the world.

Tom, that laughing, slightly mischievous smile in your obit photo is exactly the way I will always remember you. I'm so glad I had you in my life for as long as I did. Abby

Don and I will miss seeing Tom at Mama Rosina's, a restaurant in Bound Brook, where he often went on Friday nights to enjoy a pizza and beer. Tom always greeted us warmly, came over to our table, and sat down to talk until our meal came. Tom was well informed on many topics, and usually had an interesting question or two for us to ponder. The subject often centered around current political events, but after Tom learned that we kept honey bees, he would frequently bring up the topic of honey bees and beekeeping. One Friday, I brought a bottle of our honey along to give him. Tom was very pleased to get it, and when he returned to his seat at the bar, we could see him showing to the people sitting next to him and telling them about it. Tom was a very interesting, kind hearted person, and our heartfelt condolences go out to his family. Adele & Don Barree

My funny, witty, maddening, irreplaceable baby brother. Smart, stubborn, a procrastinator, a hoarder. A proud father, an adoring grandfather. Gone suddenly, a blessing for him, a stunning loss for his family. He leaves an emptiness that will not be filled.
