Obituary of Nancy Jean DiDario

Nancy Jean (Shouffler) DiDario, age 77, died suddenly on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Morgantown, WV, she grew up in Westfield, graduating from Westfield High School. She then resided in North Plainfield raising her family until 1999, when she moved to Bridgewater. Before retiring, Nancy worked for Turtle and Hughes in Bridgewater. Prior to that, she had worked for many years as a bookkeeper with Circle (Cooper) Electric in Plainfield. Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Dino DiDario in 1999, and her sister Joanne "Sis" Cuccaro in 1992. Surviving is her son Daniel DiDario and his wife Stacey; her daughter Dina DiDario and her partner Dave Hampson; her grandchildren Kristie Smith, Kyle Smith, Gabrielle DiDario and Alexandra DiDario; her brother Howard "Butch" Shouffler and his wife Paula and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, 07069 followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her name can be made to your local ASPCA.
