Obituary of Anthony Mondok

Anthony S. Mondok, age 99, a devoted husband and father, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home at the age of 99. Born in East Deer, Allegheny County, PA he had lived in Slovakia, Yonkers NY, York PA and has been a resident of Bridgewater since 1965.

Anthony received a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by Foster Wheeler, Hess, CF Braun and AMF during his lengthy career. His work projects included the Minuteman Project and Rocketry.

Anthony was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the National Slovak Society, Somerset County Fish & Game and Washington Valley Fish & Game Protective Association. Anthony was a volunteer at the Bridgewater Senior Center. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting with his sons and dog and had received two marksman awards, as a civilian from the US Army.

Predeceased by his wife Rose Serio Mondok whom he loved and married in 1954 until her death in 2013; his son Steven Mondok who died at age 7.

Survived by his sons Paul and his significant other Lara and her daughter Desiree and Michael and his wife Laura and their children Christopher and Michelle.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Martinsville. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven in Hawthorne, NY.
