Obituary of Rosemarie Ann McMahon
Rosemarie Ann McMahon, 78, of North Plainfield, New Jersey, passed away on January 25, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson Somerset Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at Higgins Funeral Home in Watchung, New Jersey, on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. with Father George Farrell of Saint Joseph's Church officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, New Jersey. Visitation will be held at Higgins Funeral Home, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069, Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Rosemarie was born at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, NJ, to Frank and Catherine Burns on September 9, 1942. She graduated Plainfield High School and went to earn a degree at Plainfield Beauty School. She worked at Bambergers and Lord & Taylors for more than 40 years. She was a member of Saint Joseph's in North Plainfield and a member of the rosary. She volunteered at the parish food bank and was an avid animal lover. Rosemarie enjoyed gardening, baking, long walks, reading books and spending time with her family and friends.
Rosemarie is survived by her daughter, Theresa, son, Kevin, grandchildren, Conor and Kate. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Kendall, parents, Catherine and Frank, daughter, Christine Elizabeth, and sister, Margaret Burns.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society.
