Obituary of Karen Lee Ben'Ary

Karen Ben’Ary, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at her home in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Karen was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in South Plainfield, NJ. In 1989 she came to reside in Bridgewater, NJ, for the remainder of her life.

Karen graduated from South Plainfield High School and went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in education from Kean University. She was employed by the Plainfield Board of Education as a teacher until her retirement. 

Karen enjoyed shopping, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Karen is predeceased by her brother, Jay Stephen Ben’Ary.

She is survived by her daughter, Marissa, her grandson Jamison,  her sister, Marian Greenfield, and her sister-in-law, Adele Ben'Ary.

A Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 21st, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ. A Live Stream of the Private Funeral Service will commence on Sunday, March 21st, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service and Burial are Private.
