Obituary of Jojo Urmaza Mamuric

Jojo Urmaza Mamuric, age 56 passed away on Saturday March 20, 2021 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison NJ. Born and raised in the Philippines, JoJo has migrated to the U.S. and settled in New Jersey for over 20 years.

He was a hair stylist by profession and had worked for the Avalon Salon in Milburn where he loved most, enjoying the company of his co-workers.  He was artistic, loved gardening and had a passion for singing and music. Most of all, Jojo will be remembered by many for his beautiful smile, generosity and uplifting strong personality.  He always wanted to be around family and friends-never wanted to be alone.

JoJo is survived by his parents George and Amelia Mamuric; his siblings Gerald and his wife Diane with their children, Tracy and Ethan, Mon-Cherie, J.P. and Gus; his grandmother Mariquita Urmaza, his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his dog Gizmo. He is missed by all.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday March 26, 2021 at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069. The memorial mass will be on Saturday at 10 am at the St. Luke’s RC Church in North Plainfield followed by the inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
