Obituary of John Michael Chlup
John Michael Chlup 44 of Warren, NJ died unexpectedly on March 19th, 2021 from complications due to a heart condition. In words we will never find the the breadth and depth of expression to describe his bright, beautiful soul. Johnny never met a stranger, and all who knew him even a little understood the generous warmth of his light. Beloved by so many friends and family, Johnny will be missed and remembered as one of the most remarkable people we were lucky to know. His dimples, his shining eyes, his welcoming smile and his boundless love for being a loyal friend - he made us all feel special.
John was born on February 21st, 1977 to Renata and Dennis Chlup in Brno, Czech Rep. John attended North Plainfield High School and was passionate about making art, writing and playing music, skateboarding, watching films, holding court with his wit, and being an entertainer and performer. He shined as brightly on stage as he did in the darkest of moments. His charisma and energy is unforgettable, and will never leave us. He wanted to experience all that he could on this planet. He loved his family, his friends, his collaborators, everyone was John’s best friend, and how lucky we are to have had the pleasure.
After graduating High school, John was accepted into the NY School of Visual Arts (SVA), but chose a different path in the technical field. He worked under the tutelage of Richie Palmer who taught him the skill and trade of HVAC, as well as the earned honor and integrity befitting of an honorable man. Richie was a second dad to him, he was his idol.
He is survived by his loving wife Mishka, mother Renata Chlup, Grandmother Mila Sykora, father Dennis Chlup, his beta fish, baby Johnya, and a million friends. He touched every soul he encountered and will never be forgotten.
Johnny passed peacefully. He believed deeply in the spiritual and the metaphysical. He believed his soul, his energy will be with all of us forever. We know he's somewhere, still cracking jokes and enjoying the good times. His kind heart, humor and smile will forever be missed.
My Dearest Johnny,
Our lives without you can never be the same. It is unimaginable to understand why someone like you had to leave us so young. You were the most awesome loving son, full of life, kind and generous in so many ways. We could never wish for more perfect baby, child and young man that any parent would be proud of. You always filled the room with the big smile, great sense of humor, outgoing personality and most of all your loving nature. We are heartbroken, but you will always stay alive in our memories and hearts. May your soul rest in peace. We loved you very much and always will.
Your Mom and Grandma
