Teresa Di Bianca

Obituary of Teresa A. Di Bianca

Teresa “Terri” Castellano Di Bianca, a devoted, fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. was welcomed into God’s arms on March 29, 2021 at age 78.  She transitioned to her new life peacefully with her family at her side.

Terri was born on November 5, 1942 in Newark, NJ, to Joseph and Isabella Castellano. She was the middle child of 3, and her siblings were Grace and Angelo. The family moved to Nutley, NJ and after graduating from St. Vincent’s Academy, she entered the novitiate, preparing to become a Sister of Charity. While there, she realized her desire to raise a family. Knowing that being a wife and mother was her calling, Terri and Sal were united in marriage on August 24, 1963 and would have celebrated 58 years of marriage. She raised two children, Loretta and Paul, and finished her college degree from St. Elizabeth’s College. She was a quintessential caregiver and extended her caring nature to her work in the fields of teaching and health care. Terri taught at St. Vincent’s Academy, and was Director of Admission at Greenbrook Manor Nursing Home, Kessler-Welkind Institute for Rehabilitation, and Muhlenberg Hospital.

With a real zest for life, Terri loved to cook, read, pray, shop – especially for her family, chat with friends and family, and travel…just to name a few. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.

Terri always gave of her time and heart, and her motherly role extended beyond her children to her grandchildren, son-in-law, nieces, nephews and many more.

Terri is survived by her husband, Salvatore; her children, Loretta Fois and Paul Di Bianca; her son-in-law, Roberto Fois; her grandchildren, Michael Di Bianca, Isabella Di Bianca, Daniello Fois, Teresa Fois and Marcello Fois, a sister, Grace McGrath; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
