Obituary of Geraldine Michaelis

Geraldine Michaelis, age 83, died on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.

She born in Summit, NJ, raised in Scotch Plains, NJ, and after marrying Paul, she was a resident of Watchung since 1967.

Geraldine was a graduate of Scotch Plains High School after several early years at Mt. Saint Mary's Academy in Watchung.

While mostly taking care of her family as a homemaker, Geraldine also worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Golombeck of Scotch Plains before her son, Paul, was born.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Stony Hill in Watchung, NJ.

Above all, Geraldine adored being at her family shore house in Mantoloking every summer with her family, after she married, she had her own waterfront house in Bayville . She was also a 46 yr member of the Raritan Yacht Club in Perth Amboy, sailing their 32 ft sloop, Mr. Chips, from there.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Michaelis,Sr., and her son, Paul Michaelis, Jr.
